Hello and welcome to my art! My name is Julia Collins and I’m a North Yorkshire artist and teacher.

I’ve always been inspired by nature, both the countryside where I live in North Yorkshire and the coast that I like to visit frequently. I’ve had a full career teaching but finally I’ve picked up the paint brushes and remembering what a pleasure it is to produce something that could be yours to share.

I paint using a range of media: watercolour, acrylic and oils with cold wax. I love creating texture and effects by mixing things up a little. Colour can be played with and enjoyed creating something unique. I have now produced seascapes, landscapes, animals and portraits.

I teach art to adults and families. ‘Art for all Seasons’ is a series of workshops throughout the year. Look on my art courses page.
